3. School Was Designed to Break You, Not Build You

(They taught you how to obey—not how to live.)

Let’s stop pretending school was neutral.
It wasn’t.

It was a behavioral training program disguised as opportunity.
A factory for obedience. A blueprint for submission.
A dress rehearsal for shame.

You weren’t educated.
You were managed.

Sit still.
Make eye contact.
Don’t question the rubric.
Raise your hand to speak your truth, then lose points for using the wrong tone.

They taught you how to memorize, not think.
To regurgitate facts you didn’t understand and forget your feelings entirely.
To conform or be classified.

Some of us didn’t fail school.
School failed us.
Because it was never designed to fit the kids who already didn’t fit the world.

It punished the loud.
It silenced the curious.
It labeled the creative.
It medicated the overwhelmed.
And it told the traumatized to just focus harder.

You weren’t behind.
You were unseen.
You weren’t lazy.
You were drowning.
You weren’t disruptive.
You were suffocating in a structure that had no room for real humans.

And then they sent you out into the world—
With a diploma full of cracks,
A résumé full of trauma,
And no map for actual life.

No tools for grief.
No training in boundaries.
No skills for surviving the systems that would soon expect your silence, your labor, your patience, your trust.

But you knew how to pass a standardized test.
You knew how to play the part.
You knew how to shrink your mind into a multiple-choice question.

This isn’t about blaming a teacher.
This is about naming the machine.

Because if you still feel that panic when someone asks a question and all eyes turn to you—
If you still second-guess your voice like it’s a liability—
If your default mode is “don’t be too much” even when you’re screaming inside—

Then school didn’t teach you how to succeed.
It taught you how to disappear with a smile.

You made it out.
But maybe parts of you are still sitting in that desk.
Still shrinking. Still silent. Still waiting for the bell to ring so you can breathe again.

So let me ring it for you:

Class dismissed.

Your rebellion is valid.
Your unlearning is sacred.
Your truth is louder than any report card.

Write. Laugh. Hope.
Because what the hell else is there?

The Swear Jar

If this Wolf pissed you off in a productive way—good. That’s kind of the point. Tip if you want to support someone calling out predators dressed as protectors. This system’s been chewing people up for decades. Help me drag it into the light, one toothy truth at a time. No guilt. No pressure. Just justice, satire, and a virtual swear jar. Click if you’re tired of playing nice with wolves.

Got your own story of fighting the system? Unleash it here.
This isn’t a comment box—it’s a megaphone. Blow the lid off.
