16. Being Poor Is the Fastest Way to Be Criminalized

(We punish poverty and worship profit.)

Write. Laugh. Hope.

Late on rent?
Evicted.
Can’t pay court fees?
Jail.
Need food?
“Fraud investigation.”
Try to survive without cash?
Now you’re a “threat to society.”

Because in this system,
poverty isn’t a problem—it’s a crime.

You weren’t reckless.
You were broke.
But they treated your wallet like a weapon.

Steal a loaf of bread: felon.
Steal a billion with a pen: CEO.

They arrest the hungry
and applaud the hoarders.

They shame EBT recipients
while billionaires dodge taxes
on private jets and public lies.

Can’t afford a lawyer?
Here’s a court-appointed ghost with 12 minutes to spare.

Can’t afford bail?
Hope you enjoy waiting in a cage
for a trial that might never come.

You were never lazy.
You were targeted.

By zoning laws, banking rules, housing loopholes,
and systems that punish the very people they pretend to help.

Because here’s the ugly truth:
Capitalism doesn’t fail the poor.
It requires them.

And if you’ve ever had to decide between food and dignity—
between rent and freedom—
you already know:

We don’t protect people.
We protect profit.

Write. Laugh. Hope.
Because what the hell else is there?

The Swear Jar

If this Wolf pissed you off in a productive way—good. That’s kind of the point. Tip if you want to support someone calling out predators dressed as protectors. This system’s been chewing people up for decades. Help me drag it into the light, one toothy truth at a time. No guilt. No pressure. Just justice, satire, and a virtual swear jar. Click if you’re tired of playing nice with wolves.

Got your own story of fighting the system? Unleash it here.
This isn’t a comment box—it’s a megaphone. Blow the lid off.
