Bliss and Serena built a treehouse so high,
A place to escape, to laugh, and to sigh.
But Dick, the jackass, as yellow as can be,
Decided he’d chop down their lovely oak tree!
But Bliss had a plan, as she always does,
And turned Dick’s sabotage into pure fuzz!
Bliss and Serena had worked hard to make the Funny Farm a place of peace and laughter. So when they built their treehouse—a perfect little retreat nestled in the oak tree by the barn—it felt like a small victory. A cozy spot they could retreat to, away from the chaos and antics of Dick, the yellow jackass.
With her black sheep creativity in full swing, Bliss had designed the treehouse herself, hammering in nails and sawing boards with Serena right beside her, bleating words of encouragement. “We’ll call it ‘The Fun House’,” Serena chirped, wagging her tail with excitement.
Bliss grinned, leaning back to admire their work. The treehouse wasn’t just a simple project—it was a symbol of their hard-won freedom. A place to breathe, relax, and enjoy life on the Funny Farm.
But, as always, Dick had other ideas.
The next morning, Bliss woke up to the unmistakable roar of a chainsaw. Her heart jumped. She ran to the window and saw Dick, the yellow jackass, standing at the base of the oak tree with a chainsaw in hand, grinning like a fool. “Oh no, not the treehouse!” she gasped, rushing out the door with Serena trailing close behind.
Dick was in full sabotage mode. He stood in the shade of the oak tree, revving his chainsaw like some sort of lumberjack-wannabe. His bright yellow fur shone under the morning sun as he prepared to chop down the very tree that held Bliss and Serena’s beautiful retreat.
Bliss stormed up to him, arms crossed, her temper already boiling. “What are you doing, Dick?” she demanded, her voice sharp enough to slice through the morning air. “That tree’s fine where it is! We just built a treehouse in it!”
Dick smirked, waving the chainsaw like a kid with a new toy. “This tree’s blocking my view,” he said lazily, shrugging. “And you know, I need to see everything so I can keep an eye on things. Can’t have you running the farm without my… supervision.” He grinned wider, as though his “supervision” was worth anything at all.
Bliss narrowed her eyes. “You don’t need to see the treehouse to make sure I’m running things. And I run everything just fine without your… supervision!”
Serena piped up, her soft voice cutting through the tension. “Why don’t you supervise your own mess for once, Dick? The treehouse isn’t hurting anybody. If anything, it’s an improvement to your view.”
Dick laughed, shaking his head. “Please. I can’t have trees in the way. Gotta be able to sit back and see what you’re up to from my recliner.” He pointed to his favorite shady spot, where he usually lounged all day, offering unhelpful commentary on Bliss and Serena’s hard work.
Bliss sighed. “Well, you’re not cutting down this tree, and you’re definitely not destroying the treehouse. In fact…” She whipped out her phone and pulled up the latest invoice. “Guess what, Dick? This tree is now protected. I just bought insurance for it, so you lay a hoof on it, and we’ll see who’s left picking up the pieces.”
Dick’s jaw dropped. “You insured a tree?!” He blinked, clearly having no clue what to say.
Bliss crossed her arms, looking triumphant. “That’s right. And not just any insurance—fully covered for acts of jackasses.” She grinned smugly, watching as the wind went out of Dick’s sails.
But it didn’t stop there. Just as Dick was about to argue back, the crows—formerly his loyal companions—swooped in for a bit of fun. They circled around his head, cawing and cracking jokes.
“Hey Dick! What’s the matter? Feeling a little stumped?!” one crow squawked, swooping low enough to peck at his mane. Another one added, “Think you can chop a tree with all that hot air? Maybe you should blow it down instead!”
Serena giggled, watching Dick swat at the air, his chainsaw long forgotten as he tried to chase the crows away. But the crows were too quick, darting and diving, always just out of reach.
“You’ve really ‘barked’ up the wrong tree this time, Dick,” Bliss said, climbing up the treehouse ladder, leaving Dick standing helpless at the base.
Serena followed Bliss, turning back to Dick one last time. “Next time, maybe you can focus on getting something useful done… like maybe trimming your ego down a bit!”
As they climbed into their peaceful sanctuary, Bliss and Serena high-fived, feeling victorious. Their treehouse was safe, their tree standing tall and proud, despite Dick’s ridiculous attempt at sabotage.
From his spot on the ground, Dick finally gave up, rubbing his sore head where one of the crows had dropped a twig. “Fine!” he grumbled. “Keep your stupid treehouse. I’ve got more important things to do anyway…” though what those “important” things were, no one knew.
Bliss and Serena settled in, enjoying the sunset from their little perch in the trees. The farm stretched out beneath them, a place of beauty, laughter, and constant surprises. And no matter how hard Dick tried to ruin their fun, Bliss always had a trick or two up her sleeve.
The Funny Farm was growing stronger, more peaceful, and filled with more joy every day. And even Dick, as ridiculous as he was, couldn’t stop the magic that was blossoming all around them.
When life throws shade, you stand up tall,
Don’t let a jackass make you fall!
Protect what’s yours with wit and grace,
And soon you’ll have your peaceful space.
Let them rant and let them shout,
But you’ll win, there’s no doubt!
When jackasses try to tear you down,
Just straighten up your little crown.
Build your treehouse high and bright,
And fill your days with joy and light!
For every time they huff and puff,
Your spirit’s made of stronger stuff!

The Power of Forgiveness: Setting Yourself Free
Forgiveness can be transformative, allowing us to let go of heavy feelings and move forward with peace. Inspired by Bliss’s journey to release past hurts, this post offers steps to help you find freedom through forgiveness.
1. **Acknowledge Your Feelings**
Take a quiet moment to identify and honor the emotions tied to a particular hurt or grudge. Recognizing these feelings is an important part of releasing them.
2. **Consider the Benefits of Letting Go**
Reflect on the mental space and lightness that forgiveness could create. Visualize what life would feel like without the burden of resentment, focusing on how it might positively impact your mood and energy.
3. **Practice Self-Compassion**
Forgiveness doesn’t mean ignoring your feelings or condoning hurtful actions. Remind yourself that forgiveness is a gift you’re giving yourself to foster peace and move forward.
4. **Release in Small Steps**
Start with small acts of forgiveness in daily life—letting go of minor frustrations or irritations. Gradually, apply this to bigger grievances. Allow yourself to release one piece at a time.
5. **Create a Ritual of Release**
Develop a personal ritual, like writing a letter to release emotions (you don’t need to send it) or simply saying out loud, “I choose to let this go.” Such rituals help create closure and set you free.
Embracing forgiveness brings more lightness and freedom into your life, making room for joy and new experiences. As you practice forgiveness, you’ll find yourself feeling more at peace and ready to embrace a happier, more open heart.
