154.  🌱 Farm Fresh —   🔥 CONNECTING THE DOTS THEY HOPED YOU’D NEVER LINE UP

(Perspective, Power, and Why the Math Only Works for the People Holding the Calculator)

You ever notice how the math only works for the people counting the money?

Yeah.
That smirk you just felt?
That’s recognition.

Because once you start actually connecting the dots, something uncomfortable becomes obvious:

Just because I see it
doesn’t mean you do.

And just because you don’t see it
doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

For a long time, I thought stress was personal.

Like maybe I just wasn’t trying hard enough.
Budgeting well enough.
Hustling smart enough.
Healing fast enough.

That’s the story we’re handed.

If life feels heavy, it must be you.

But then I stepped back.
Zoomed out.
Stopped staring at individual dots and started looking at the pattern.

And the pattern told a very different story.

Here’s what I saw:

People work more and own less.
Costs rise while wages stall.
Time disappears.
Energy drains.

And the solution offered is always the same:

Try harder.

Funny how the system never seems to be the problem —
only the people stuck inside it.

That’s when it clicked.

This isn’t a failure of effort.
It’s a failure of design.

When survival takes everything you have,
there’s no bandwidth left to question why survival is so expensive in the first place.

Overwhelm isn’t a side effect.

It’s a feature.

The more dots I connected, the calmer I got.

Not angrier.
Clearer.

Because clarity does something powerful:

It stops you from internalizing damage that was never yours to carry.

You stop asking, What’s wrong with me?
And start asking, Who benefits from this being normal?

That question changes everything.

Here’s the part people miss:

Perspective isn’t about being “woke” or cynical or bitter.

It’s about accuracy.

When you see the system clearly,
you stop blaming yourself for struggling in conditions designed to keep you stretched thin.

You conserve your energy.
You choose your battles.
You stop trying to win a rigged game by playing it harder.

Fixing the suffering starts with fixing the structure.

Not overnight.
Not magically.

But honestly.

Because when the system eases,
people breathe.

When people breathe,
they think.

And when they think,
they stop accepting exhaustion as a personality trait.

I’m not saying seeing the dots makes life easy.

I’m saying it makes it make sense.

And once things make sense,
you stop spiraling in self-blame
and start moving with intention instead of panic.

Just because I see it
doesn’t mean you do.

But once you do?

You’ll never unsee it.

And that’s not losing hope.

That’s finally knowing where the pressure is really coming from.
