On Thanksgiving Day, all was bright and quite cheery,
With pies in the oven and ducks looking merry.
Bliss was preparing a feast for the farm,
When the phone rang aloud, causing sudden alarm.
A call from her sister, with news full of dread,
But Bliss just smiled wide—no time for tears to be shed!
Thanksgiving at Dream Whirld was always a grand affair, and this year was no different. Bliss Serenity had decorated the Funny Farm with giant pumpkins, garlands of leaves, and even convinced the ducks to wear tiny pilgrim hats for the occasion. The sunflowers she’d planted earlier that year had grown comically large, towering over everything like they were part of a fantastical, animated film.
Serena, Bliss’s ever-faithful sidekick and confidante, was bouncing around, helping prepare for the grand Thanksgiving parade, which would feature the mini horses pulling a turkey-shaped float. Everything was going according to plan, and naturally, Bliss was already dreaming of ways to make next year’s celebration even bigger.
Then the phone rang.
Bliss picked it up with her usual cheerful attitude, but the news on the other end wasn’t the type to bring holiday cheer. It was her sister, delivering a gut-punch of an update: their mother was gravely ill, and Bliss needed to come say her goodbyes. Fast.
Now, anyone else might have crumbled under the weight of such news, but not Bliss. Oh no. She took a deep breath, gave a quick glance at Serena—who was chasing a mini cow out of the kitchen—and said, “We’ve faced worse! I’ll figure this out.”
But as always, life at the Funny Farm had other plans.
First, there was her eccentric boss, Mr. Clipboard McSpreadsheet, who was more obsessed with balancing data than with human emotions. When Bliss called to ask for time off, he responded with the compassion of a robot.
“I’ve got a vacation planned,” he said, sounding bored. “You can go see your mother when I return.”
Bliss’s eyebrow twitched, but she remained calm. “She may not have that long,” Bliss said through clenched teeth, trying to suppress her mounting frustration.
“Well, I’ll pencil you in,” Mr. Clipboard replied, his tone nonchalant.
Undeterred, Bliss hung up and muttered to Serena, “We’ll make this work, just like always.”
But of course, what’s a day at Dream Whirld without an appearance from Dick, the yellow jackass? Lounging by the barn with his signature smirk and sunglasses, he watched Bliss with a look of pure indifference as she marched over.
“I need to leave to see Mom,” Bliss said, more out of courtesy than expectation. “I need you to not mess things up while I’m gone.”
Dick’s eyes gleamed with mischief. “Not my problem,” he said lazily, crunching on an apple. “But Petunia? She stays here with me.”
At this, Serena’s usually cheerful face paled. “Betty, please don’t leave me with him!” she whispered, shaking slightly. “Not… him!”
Bliss, knowing exactly what kind of nonsense Dick was trying to pull, put her hand on Serena’s woolly shoulder and gave Dick a look that could’ve melted steel. “Petunia’s coming with me,” Bliss said firmly.
“Well, if she’s going, I’m not helping,” Dick shrugged. “Guess you’re stuck here.”
Bliss, fighting every urge to kick him into next week, took a deep breath and forced herself to stay composed. “No worries, Dick,” she said with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. “We’ll manage.”
And they did.
Bliss hopped online, booked a first-class ticket using the farm’s ever-growing funds (thank you, success!), and whisked Serena away with her, leaving Dick behind to deal with a bunch of angry mini cows that had eaten too much pie.
As they boarded the plane, Serena sighed in relief. “I thought we were stuck with him forever.”
“Not a chance,” Bliss said, her confidence growing. “We never get stuck. We only move forward.”
As the plane took off, she raised a glass of sparkling cider to the ever-evolving dream that was Dream Whirld, and to their unshakeable ability to always come out on top—turkey, ducks, and all.
So what did we learn from this Thanksgiving mess?
That Bliss never breaks, even under distress!
With family, good friends, and some ducks in a hat,
No problem’s too big, no obstacle flat.
When life gets tough, just book that first-class,
And leave yellow jackasses right in the past!
When the world seems heavy and full of strife,
Remember that joy is the light of your life.
Though challenges come and block your way,
Bliss finds a path to brighten the day.
With ducks in hats and a friend by your side,
There’s no need to fear—take life in stride!
“Managing Holiday Stress While Balancing Family Obligations”
The holiday season can be both joyful and overwhelming.
The holidays are a time for reflection, love, and connection, but they can also be some of the most stressful times of the year. For those balancing work deadlines, family responsibilities, and personal emotions, the pressure can feel immense. When life throws curveballs—like an ill family member or an unyielding boss—it’s essential to step back and ask yourself what’s truly important. Prioritize self-care, communicate your needs openly, and don’t be afraid to set boundaries, even if it means standing up to the “Dick the Jackasses” in your life. No matter what, know that it’s okay to prioritize your well-being, and remember that there are always ways to make it through, just like Bliss.
We’re so glad you joined us for this tale full of cheer,
Where Bliss, Serena, and laughter reign clear!
No challenge too big, no problem too wide,
With a smile and a laugh, we always find pride.
So come back real soon for more joy and more fun,
At Dream Whirld, our journey’s just begun!
Thanks for the visit, we’ll see you again—
Where bliss always wins, time and again!
